Wimbledon 2009

Wimbledon is the name of one of the oldest as well as the most renowned tennis championships in the whole world. The only Grand Slam tennis tournament (out of four) to be played on grass courts till date, Wimbledon Championships came into being in the year 1877. In 2009, the 123rd edition of the Championship will be organized, at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London, England. The third Grand Slam event of the year, Wimbledon 2009 will be held from 22nd June 2009 (Monday) onwards and come to an end on 5th July 2009 (Sunday).

Timings
For the games, the grounds will open at 10:30 am, every day. In case of Courts 2-19, the game will start at noon, at least in the first eight days of the championship. As for the rest of the days, the game will start on 11 am for the Junior matches on the middle Saturday and during the second week. In case of Centre and No.1 Courts, the game will start at 1 pm on all days, with the exception of the two final days i.e. 4th July and 5th July. On these days, the play on these courts will start at 2 pm. However, till the time the games start, the timings should be taken as provisional.
